We are a small, deliberately senior team based in Lagos and Abuja, with remote collaborators across the continent and the diaspora. The pipeline is Rust + Python + Rust; the audience is tens of millions of Nigerian listeners and every African newsroom that would rather license infrastructure than rebuild it.
How we work
- Async by default, sync on demand. Weekly review. Quarterly in-person in Lagos.
- No LGTM PRs. Every merge explains the trade-off it made.
- Ship to production within the first week. We pair heavily on the first month.
- Equity is real and is granted on a four-year vest with a one-year cliff.
- Salary is benchmarked against London / Berlin + African cost-of-living adjustment.
Open roles
Python / FastAPI engineer — Intelligence core
LangGraph orchestration, Groq + Gemini integration, pgvector retrieval, and provenance scoring. You will touch the RAG pipeline weekly.
Product engineer — Narvo (B2C)
Next.js PWA, Service Worker strategy, IndexedDB offline cache, and the WhatsApp share-clip loop. You care about metric-driven audio UX.
Developer relations — Narvo Platform
Write Mintlify docs, ship example integrations, and partner with newsrooms piloting the API. Strong writing + shipping required, not just speaking.
Linguist / Speech reviewer
Review YarnGPT and OmniVoice output against the 90-point prosody rubric. Native fluency in at least one of: Yorùbá, Hausa, Igbo, Pidgin, Swahili.
